Volunteers
Our stores are staffed by volunteers, who contribute greatly to the success of Plowsharing’s mission. From unpacking shipments to wrapping your purchases, the volunteers are a vital part of our family. We always welcome new people to consider volunteering with us.
Stores
Our two not-for-profit shops, located in University City and Kirkwood, are filled with fairly-traded handicrafts from over 40 different countries, including items from Asia, Africa, and Central, and South America. We also hold many sales away from the stores at locations such as churches, schools, businesses, and outdoor festivals. Check out our calendar for displays/sales in your area.
Artisans
We work with very skilled and creative artisans from 3rd world developing countries, who make beautiful, handmade items that we are privileged to sell in our stores. We are committed to practicing Fair Trade, which means that we work to ensure that the artisans receive a fair wage for the work that they do.
Products
Our handicrafts offer the customer a special opportunity to purchase quality gifts while supporting artisans around the world. We have a wide variety of products, including jewelry, clothing, folk art, musical instruments, house wares, toys and games, and Christmas nativities and ornaments. Experience the artistry and skill of creative people, while knowing that your purchase truly makes a difference in their lives.
